THE UNITED FAMILY POEM by Warren Brown
When a child is born
Into a loving family,
It is all part of the plan
And part of his destiny.
My parents were my rocks
Who inspired me to be,
The best I can be
To fulfil my destiny.
My Mother, I will miss
As she was always there,
With her quiet strength
And her strong belief in prayer.
My Dad is still here
To be my mentor and my guide,
To help me to overcome
All difficulty in my stride.
My Mum Joan will always be
My great inspiration and guide,
My true friend and mentor
As she walks by our side.
Darling Mum we all miss you
But we know that you are,
By the side of your family
At every fleeting hour.
We come together as one
My sister and her family,
My father, wife and I,
Come together in family unity.
A mother is a true rock
For every family in strife,
Who helps them to strongly unite,
As she guides them through life.
