A Planeride

The sky a blue
as deep as the love
of those we hold closest
as deep as the loss of death
it seems that the memories die with them
     what lays
underneath those mildew towers of clouds
layers
        of fluffy
                illusion

    obscuring

reminiscent and
    helping us forget
  the azure
                  expanse
                                 beyond
as
  deep
      as the
          ocean
                of life
as deep
   as the
       darkness
that
brings
   to life
       the light

Your last line is very true. Well done. I am 70 years old, so I have learned at least something about lights origins, its necessary context.
