Weeping Pettals

Weeping petals lie on the floor
looking up at what is no more

Many once were one
Now one become many

To no longer exist as a singular form of beauty
But a plural form of expendable duty

Be it now their purpose spent
And their lifeless stem all withered and bent

And so the petals weep no more
as they lay corroding on an unsympathetic floor
