The Leaves Are Falling In My World

The leaves are falling
From trees so high
And tears are crawling
From my eyes as I sigh
Slowly reflected in the mirror
I'm looking out my window
At the world beyond
I'm not sure of what I see, though
Is the sun that in the morning dawned
Or the moon that glistens bright
Among the puffs, oh wind dispersed
Not a word is spoken, at first sight of light
Summer heals what Winter cursed
The iced and frozen, they melt, they icicles
At the sound of Spring's delight
And wash away, dissolve the sadness, into tiny particles
Yet still the wind is roaring, showing all it's freezing might
And the sunlit sunshine rushes in
Looking into your tearful eyes
A gentle breeze now resides, where the wind had been
Bloomed were all the flower petals, and the butterflies
Awakened were the smiles of love
As birds sang and chirped a cheerful song
Holding hands of freedom, both here and there, above
Never mind the timeless time, spent here, surely long
And let the angels hold a grudge
For heaven here is better, than the heaven way up high
Here smiling spirits laugh at the jury and the judge
For passing guilt on our happy hearts, for flying in the sky
Holding hands as we ascend the clouds
Looking down at forests of oceans and deserts of lakes
Jumping high as we cry aloud!
As the mirror slowly cracks and brakes
Taking with it all the times we cried
We knock down the doors of jealous spite!
As we sit upon the steps, of our will electrified
I cannot help but screech in fright
As a giant shadow blocks the sun
Only to reveal itself, a dreamy cloud of my delight
At touch of hands, warm with faith
We attempt this one final leap
As our hopes swish ever higher, I'm afraid its much too late
Back by my window I awake, I realize I had climbed a mountain much too steep
Watching leaves fall from a distant mile
Now knowing dreams enchant my faith, I curl up in my world and smile, wait
