SHADOWS

I went to the lake on what appeared a beautiful sunny day,

But i never was the one who really loved a sunny day,

I love the storms and rain,

On our way home,

The clouds flooded in,

The rain poured down hard and fast, 

The sun disappeared,

The crystal blue sky darkened and was gone, 

It was so beautiful to me,

I wanted to play in it,

But my parents never understood what I saw that they didn't,

 It was the natural beauty of nature,

The simple things in life,

It's what i love the most.
