Poem 12 Stuck In a Snowdrift

As I sit in my car I wonder without a doubt

Could I have gone the other way on this stormy night

Trying to plan ahead asking to make the right choice

Over the radio it was clear that no one knew the answer

An hour a go the road was fine nothing that would change you're mind

So you drove on through the night without a fright on this stormy night

Driving like a rancher would ride his horse on the wings of a prayer

Where not to invoke the right choice of the spirit of freewill

You did you're best to be as wise as the steering wheel of you're car

You inched you're way forward through the snow and it got deeper

You pressed on the gas and suddenly you knew it would not last

Stuck in a snowdrift you watch the snow wondering which way to go

While nature's wind of a stormy night knew how to win this night

Sitting behind the wheel of a car you wonder where is the distant star

While you listen to the radio singing a tune from Neil Diamond I am I said...
