Looking out the window of my car

I begin to wonder how far would it be

To the nearest place where i could see

The caribou from the land of the Inuit

It's been many years since the herd

Was alive and well to the eye of the one who seeks

These day's it's much colder and we are getting older

The day's of riding the trail by ski-doo is not the same feeling

The caribou of the wild are hard to find just like vintage red wine

Where have they gone I wonder staring at the great white wonder

The wilderness never changed it's feeling it's always there

Always the same old scene

Whether it be winter, spring, summer or fall

The caribou as well as the igloo was always there along with man

Just like the wild west on the run with our snow machines

Those were day's of our youth

where life seemed to be much different than today

Under the midnight sun we look beyond the great white divide

And wonder where the caribou hide

Memories staring back at me through my car window

I can see the rivers and the valleys where the caribou roam

Out here in the wilderness it.s natures home of the caribou

I remember you just like it was yesterday where we used to play

The wilderness so wild and carefree of beauty and wonder

Where it makes you think about how man has not yet

Truly conquered the earth in the way that they think

On the side of Mother Natures smile and wink
